Baguio City was one of the first tourist destinations in the country that opened last year. Almost every week I travel to Baguio because of work, and I’ve observed that many tourists are visiting the city again. In this post, I’ll be sharing with you how to travel from Manila to Baguio by bus, the bus schedule, fare, and the travel requirements to Baguio.
Baguio Travel Requirements
Traveling to Baguio for leisure/tourism purposes is now very easy. Below are the Baguio travel requirements:
- QR-coded Tourist Pass (QTP) (electronic or printed)- this will be sent to your email after you register through the online registration system Baguio VIS.I.T.A. There is no registration fee.
- Negative RT-PCR or antigen test result within 72 hours- if you are traveling to Baguio via Victory Bus, you can have your antigen test at the bus station in Cubao. The test costs Php 500 for tourists and Php 350 for Baguio residents. And the good news is that if you are fully vaccinated* with valid cards or certificates, you can now travel to Baguio without having to submit a negative RT-PCR or antigen test result.
- Upon arrival in Baguio City, proceed to triage for health declaration validation
Travel to Baguio is allowed for all ages. Only tourists from GCQ and MGCQ areas are allowed to travel to Baguio.
If you are entering Baguio for official business, medical purposes, as returning resident, employee/worker, or student, you shall register at hdf.baguio.gov.ph.
*A fully vaccinated individual is someone who has received the second dose of the vaccine more than 2 weeks prior to travel.
