Recently, news came out that Taiwan is extending its trial visa-free entry for Filipino travelers from August 1, 2021 to July 31, 2022. However, as of the moment Taiwan is open for essential travel only. But plans on reopening for vaccinated travelers is on the table. When leisure travel to Taiwan is allowed again, you might want to consider visiting Kenting in Southern Taiwan. Kenting has sandy beaches, a national park, old villages, and a night market with a 2 kilometer strip of stalls. And for a place to stay in Kenting, I highly recommend Amanda Hotel Kenting.
Amanda Hotel Kenting is a beautiful Middle Eastern-themed hotel surrounded by gardens. We stayed here for two nights during our trip to Southern Taiwan in 2019 and the room we stayed at was clean, very spacious, and beautiful. I love everything about the room and my favorite was the large tub outside on a patio with privacy.
Amanda Hotel Kenting Location
Amanda Hotel Kenting is located in Nanwan, Taiwan. It is within a 15-minute drive to Hengchun Old Town and Kenting National Park. The Kenting Night Market is just 5 kilometers away from the property and within a 5-minute drive. South Bay Recreation Area is less than a kilometer away from the hotel. Amanda Hotel Kenting is less than a 20-minute drive to the Southernmost Point of Taiwan.
The Kenting Express Bus Nanwan Station is 1 kilometer away while the Hengchun Bus Station is 4.2 kilometers away from the property. Hengchun Tourism Hospital is less than 4 kilometers from the hotel.

Amanda Hotel Kenting has 4 floors with 48 rooms. It has an in-house restaurant and bar. It is where we had our buffet breakfasts. Their food was great. They serve Chinese and Mediterranean foods.

The hotel has an indoor spa pool and on-site parking. If you want to have a photoshoot wearing a middle eastern costume, you can rent a costume with the property. You can also arrange car hire and aquatic activities with the hotel. The hotel has free wifi in all rooms.

The Room
I’m not sure what type of room we stayed in, but it has two king-sized beds, a sofa, flat-screen TV, closet, mini-bar, in-room safe box, hot and cold shower, and a patio with privacy with a large tub. Slippers and toiletries are provided.
The bed was comfortable and the patio was a nice place to hang out. The room was clean and spacious.
I highly recommend Amanda Hotel Kenting on your holiday to Kenting, Taiwan. The hotel has really nice theme, their staff was very accommodating and the breakfast was very good.
