Planning a trip to the island of Gods and wondering where to stay in Bali? The Diana Suite is a nice hotel that is only a 5-minute drive from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport. I stayed there for four nights during my trip to Bali last February. Here’s my review of The Diana Suite.

The Diana Suite Review
The Diana Suite Location
If it’s your first time traveling to Bali, you probably came across areas like Ubud, Seminyak, Kuta, Uluwatu, Sanur, and Canggu while looking for hotels on Agoda or Booking.com. Bali is actually a big island and it may get confusing when selecting where to stay. Someone shared in a Whatsapp Group for solo travelers in Bali his description of each area:
Sanur- the perfect place for families/people with kids
Uluwatu- for people who surf
Kuta- for people who love to drink
Seminyak- for those who are rich and like to spend all day blowing money on crap
Ubud- for vegans and those who like yoga and quantum healing
Canggu- for those who have a man bun 😂
Up north- for the hermits

The Diana Suite is located in Tuban, in the southern part of Kuta. There are probably plenty of bars in Kuta, but The Diana Suite is situated in a quiet area. From the main road, you need to walk maybe 5 to 8 minutes to get to the hotel.
The Diana Suite has an excellent location as it is close to the airport- a 5-minute drive or a 15 to 20 minutes walk. On the main road, there are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets/shops. Lippo Mall is a 15-minute walk from the hotel, and the closest beach is less than 20 minutes walk.
The Diana Suite Price
I noticed that the price of the rooms in The Diana Suite depends on where and when you book. For June, their room rate is as follows:
Deluxe with Living Room
The Deluxe with Living Room is 60 sqm. This suite has a living room with a sofa. It also has a balcony. Room with breakfast costs 500,000 IDR (US$34)*. Without breakfast, the room costs 450,000 IDR (US$31).
Deluxe with Bathtub
This room is 50 sqm and has a bathtub. It also has a balcony. It costs 430,000 IDR (US$29) if you book the room only. With breakfast, it costs 480,000 IDR (US$33).
Pavilion Room
The Pavilion Room is 80 sqm. It features a balcony and a spacious living room. The bathroom has a bathtub. The room with breakfast costs 600,000 IDR (US$41). Without breakfast, the room costs 550,000 IDR (US$37).
When I stayed there last February, I was able to book my room at IDR 415,000 (US$28) per night. It was a Deluxe with Bathtub room with complimentary breakfast. Normally it is cheaper to book with the hotel directly. I booked mine with Booking.com but I got it at a cheaper price because of the perks that come with the Genius Loyalty program of Booking.com.
*I used the conversion US$ 1 = 14700 IDR because that was the average exchange rate when I was in Bali in February 2023

The Diana Suite Deluxe Bathtub Room
Now let’s talk about the room. The room was big, especially the bathroom. It has a flat-screen TV, a big closet with a safety deposit box, a minibar, and an electric kettle. Free coffee, tea, and bottled water were provided. There was also a table and chair in the room so I was able to work there comfortably during the day.
In the bathroom, there was a hairdryer. A shower cap, shampoo, soap, toothbrush, and toothpaste were provided.

For the bed, I requested a queen bed when I booked it because I was staying there alone. I think it is worth mentioning that the bed was two single beds pushed together to become one big bed. This isn’t a big deal for me, but I just thought I’d share because I know some people have issues with this. The bed was super comfortable though.

Outside the room there is a table and chairs, if you want to smoke, or if you prefer to hang out outside the room.
The room is very clean and they clean it every day. I also get two free bottled water in my mini ref every day.
I was not able to back up the photos I took of the room before my phone got stolen so I don’t have a lot of pictures to share. But here’s a video of the property that I was able to upload on my YouTube channel a few months ago.
The Breakfast
The buffet breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options. There were Indonesian food choices, as well as Westernised foods like cereals and pastries. There were also sliced fruits. I stayed there for four nights and what I love is that it’s a different menu every morning.

Depending on who is in charge, sometimes the food is hot, and sometimes it is not. For me, it doesn’t really matter. But there are people who don’t like eating cold food so I thought I’d mention here too.
The Diana Suite Facilities and Services
The Diana Suite has an outdoor swimming pool and sundeck, a bar, a restaurant, and a wide parking area. There is free wifi in the whole property, and the wifi speed was good.

They give a free welcome drink upon arrival. You can request a pick-up or drop-off at the airport for an additional charge.
The Diana Suite Staff
All the staff that I encountered during my stay in the hotel were very polite and friendly. Every morning whenever I go to the restaurant for breakfast, I am greeted with a smile by the staff.
The Diana Suite Policies and Conditions
- They accept cash and credit card payments.
- Check-in time is from 2:00 pm and check-out time is until 12 noon.

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at The Diana Suite. I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Bali. The location is perfect especially if you have an early or late flight, it is within walking distance to the beach and to restaurants and malls. The room and bathroom are very spacious and clean, and the bed is comfortable. The price was just right and the staff are very accommodating and friendly.
The Diana Suite has an 8.1 rating on Booking.com, 8.5 on Agoda, and 4.3 on Google.
