Looking for a place to stay in Baguio City on your next trip to the summer capital of the Philippines? Try The Orchard Hotel Baguio. It is a millennial-themed hotel, relatively new, with clean, comfortable rooms, fast wifi connection, lots of Instagrammable spots, friendly and accommodating staff, and located near the city center.

I’ve stayed here twice during work-related trips to Baguio, and I have no complaints about the experience I had in this hotel. (Maybe I’m just very easy to please haha). Anyway, read what I have to say about the hotel and check out the photos I took of the hotel and then you decide.

The Orchard Hotel Baguio: The Location
Located in Legarda Road, The Orchard Hotel Baguio is near the city center. It is a 15-minute walk to Burnham Park and a 20-minute walk to the Baguio Public Market and the Baguio Cathedral. The hotel is just a 5-10 minutes drive to SM Baguio, depending on the traffic.
It is located across Holiday Inn and there are plenty of restaurants within the vicinity such as Canto, Cafe Will, and Chaya. Himaya Spa is also within walking distance to the hotel, in case you want to get a massage after a tiring day exploring the city.

Though we had a private vehicle when we stayed at this hotel, I had to take a taxi once to go somewhere not work-related, and it wasn’t hard getting a taxi in the area. The security guard of the hotel helped me get one.

The Orchard Hotel Baguio: The Room
The rooms of the hotel are clean, big, nice, and comfortable. I think the room I stayed in is the Deluxe Economy Room. It has two single beds. The bed and pillow are soft. I had a good night’s sleep there. The room has air conditioning but I didn’t turn it on because the room was already very cold. A chair and a flat-screen TV are available in the room. You are provided with two keycards for the room.
There is a safety deposit box, a mini ref, hangers, a kettle, and cups. They have complimentary coffee, tea, and bottled water. Bedroom slippers are also provided. The room has plenty of electric sockets and it has USB, type G plug, and type A plug.
The bathroom was also big and clean. There was hot and cold water in the shower as well as in the sink. Towels and toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, lotion, vanity kit, and shampoo) were provided. The bathroom also has a hairdryer.

The Orchard Hotel Baguio: The Breakfast
Your stay at the hotel comes with a free a la carte breakfast. I’ve been checking reviews about the hotel and it seems that prior to the pandemic, they had a free buffet breakfast in the hotel. The reviews were not very good.
The free breakfast is available at That Little Cafe. It is located on the 6th floor of the hotel. When you check-in at the hotel, they show you the breakfast options and let you choose what you want. The choices available are usually corned beef, pork longganisa, beef tapa, or tocino. It comes with a sunny side up, fried rice, and fruits. For me, the food was okay. Again, maybe I’m just very easy to please, or maybe the other guests are expecting something grander.
The Orchard Hotel Baguio: The Staff
The front desk staff of the hotel were very courteous, friendly, and accommodating. And as mentioned above, their security guard was very helpful when I needed a taxi to go to the city center.
