Where Are The Nusas Located?
Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan are islands that are part of the Klungkung Regency. Klungkung is one of the nine regencies of the province of Bali. They are located southeast of the Bali mainland. (Refer to the maps below).
Nusa Penida is the biggest of the three islands and it is the most popular. Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan are connected by the Yellow Bridge.










How To Get From Nusa Penida to Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Ceningan
There are different options for getting from Nusa Penida to Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Ceningan. You can take the speed boat which is the most convenient option, take the traditional public boat and embrace the local experience or have a tailored luxury by hiring a private boat charter.
I’m gonna share with you in detail the speed boat option since it was what I experienced. The speed boat option is the most popular option to get to Nusa Lembongan or Nusa Ceningan from Nusa Penida. The boat ride usually takes around 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the specific departure and arrival points.
I was planning to book the speed boat ticket in advance online, but I couldn’t decide what time I am going to Nusa Lembongan. The owner of Innora Resort where I stayed in Nusa Penida told me I can just go to Toya Pakeh Harbour and buy the ticket there.
In case you want to book in advance, you can buy the ticket with 12G0 Asia.
Where to Buy Tickets and Ticket Costs to Nusa Lembongan
At the Toya Pakeh Harbour, just look for the ticket office of Trans Nusa Bahari. Ticket to Nusa Lembongan / Nusa Ceningan costs IDR 50,000 (~US$ 3.40 / ~Php 200). It says in their sign that the departure is every hour, but when I was there, I was told that the boat leaves when there are enough passengers. (Usually around 10 passengers). After buying the ticket, you’ll be asked to wait in the waiting area. The crew will inform you when it is time to board the boat. Trips to Nusa Lembongan / Nusa Ceningan start at 7:00 until 17:00.
The boat ride to Nusa Lembongan was around 15 minutes. Passengers going to Nusa Ceningan or Nusa Lembongan are dropped off at the Yellow Bridge.


















Some Tips When Taking the Speed Boat to Nusa Lembongan / Nusa Ceningan
- Don’t wear shoes because it will get wet when you board the boat. You’re going to step on the water on your way to the boat.
- Keep your belongings secure and protected from water during the journey.
- Always prioritize your safety during your travel.
