Today I received an email from Saadman, the community manager at GAFFL. He said that my story is already live on their blog and he gave me the link. I was super excited to read it, and afterward shared it on all my social media channels! I was so thrilled as it was the first time I got featured on any website.
GAFFL is an app that helps you find a travel buddy and meet and travel with locals worldwide. It connects travelers from 180 countries to explore destinations together around the world. I haven’t tried using the app yet and I honestly don’t have any idea how Saadman found me. And maybe just like my friend Violet, you are wondering too how I got featured.
Last January while on quarantine, I received an email from Saadman. He said they would love to feature me in their blog. If I was interested, he is going to send me a list of 12-14 questions that I have to answer. They will build an article based on my answers and publish them on the GAFFL blog. In return, I will get a do-follow link for my blog and a link to my social media accounts. Well, who wouldn’t be interested in that? Getting a backlink from a reputable site boosts the page rank of a website.
I said yes, and he sent me the questions. He said if I could send back my answers in 12 to 14 days, they should be able to publish my story within the next few weeks. If you are a regular reader of this blog, you probably have guessed that I sent my answers on the 14th day. That’s just how my brain works, it is more efficient when I have very little time left. Hahaha.
Anyway, after sending my answers, I got a response from Saadman after two weeks. It turns out that he missed my email. He said he will email me the link once the story is live. And now it is live, and I really love the title- Tina Was Tired Of Waiting Around For Her Friends So She Decided To Tackle The World Solo And She Hasn’t Looked Back Since. I was so happy with the feature, I think I read it 3 or 4 times. Hahaha. Check it out, you might like it too.
